It is an important duty of this organisation, in the conduct of its business operations, to ensure a safe and healthy working environment for all its employees. The organisation accepts the fact that this implies a corresponding duty of ensuring that necessary organisation, equipment and training is provided to fulfill this obligation. An effective health and safety policy requires the full collaboration and co-operation of all employees.

The safety and health of our employees in CLARKO PIPING is our foremost business consideration. No employee will be required to do a job that he or she considers unsafe. The company will comply with all applicable workplace safety and health requirements and maintain occupational safety and health standards that equal or exceed the best practices in the industry. Comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993 and all other legal requirements.

CLARKO PIPING will maintain a safety committee, which consists of management and our employees. Our responsibility will be identifying hazards and unsafe work practices, removing obstacles to accident prevention, and helping evaluate the company’s effort to achieve an accident and injury-free workplace CLARKO PIPING pledges to do the following:

  • Strive to achieve the goal of zero accidents and injuries.
  • Comply at a minimum with all applicable legal requirements.
  • Utilise natural resources responsibly.
  • Provide mechanical and physical safeguards wherever they are necessary.
  • Conduct routine safety and health inspections to find and eliminate unsafe working conditions, control health hazards, and comply with all applicable safety and health requirements.
  • Train all employees in safe work practices and procedures.
  • Must have no customer complains
  • On time delivery of service on sites must be at 90% and above
  • Results of Customer satisfaction Survey must not be below 3
  • Provide employees with necessary personal protective equipment and train them to use and care for it properly.
  • Enforce company safety and health rules and require employees to follow the rules as a condition of employment.
  • Investigate accidents to determine the cause and prevent similar accidents.
  • Establish and review safety, health environmental, Risk and quality objectives and targets, annually
  • Communicate the policy to all employees and stakeholders.

All employees have responsibility for their own safety as well as for the safety of their fellow workers. They are expected to participate in the safety and health program, which includes immediately reporting accidents, hazards, and unsafe work practices to a supervisor or safety committee representative, wearing required personal protective equipment, and participating in and supporting safety committee activities.
